Technical tour
On the technology tour, visitors to the Zeppelin Museum embark on a journey back in time to the era of airships: How were and are zeppelins constructed? How did they take off and land? What physical laws underlie their technology? What professions were required to operate them? Who were the pioneers in the history of innovation surrounding the "floating gray cigars"? And what did it feel like to be a passenger on the famous LZ 129 Hindenburg? The exhibition also explains how the Zeppelin from Friedrichshafen went from being the first intercontinental civilian aircraft to a military device, propaganda instrument, symbol of utopian future scenarios, a myth and an icon of pop culture. On over 4,000 square meters, visitors can learn all about the history of airship travel.
